When love has flown and friends are far from here, it is then that music visits me as my lover;

tender as the morning, wild like the night.

I can wrap my soul and heart in its melodies and moods, like floating down an unpredictable river, yet feeling safe in its confines.

More often than not I will emerge at the other end feeling euphoric and cleansed;

lifted from the loneliness of unrequited love,

yet again free to soar, secure in the knowledge of who I am.
